SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April 9, 2013 — Santa Barbara Imaging has introduced the FS50X motorized focus stage. Featuring submicron positioning, a cross-roller stage, stepper motor drive and integrated stepper motor controller in a compact form factor, the system is available with either a variable speed/direction mouse controller or with stepper motor control by an external controller.

Applications are in low- to high-magnification microscope focusing with manual control or automated program control for fine-components inspection and fluorescence imaging, and for OEM products requiring an embedded vision system.
