Multi-Spot Beam Shaping OpticsquattroXX multi-spot beam shaping optics for high-power lasers have been announced by AdlOptica GmbH.

Developed for material processing based on multi-kW lasers, the optics provide lossless laser beam shaping by splitting the laser energy into a 2×2 matrix of separate spots with variable energy portions. Processing conditions are optimized using the compound square, rhomb, line, and twin quattroXX-spots with variable intensity. This variety optimizes the pre- and post-heating of the processed area in order to reduce spatter and bubbles, thereby stabilizing the technology. The optical design provides theoretically lossless and efficient energy redistribution of TEM00 or multimode lasers at different wavelengths for beams of any beam parameter product and any size within the clear aperture.

The optical elements are made of refractive material, which guarantees high resistance to multi-kW continuous wave or pulsed lasers and negligible thermal focus shift.
