CAMARILLO, Calif., May 14, 2020 — Multi-Channel Insertion and Return Loss MeterThe OP940-CSW Multichannel Insertion and Return Loss Meter from OptoTest Corp. is an internally switched device designed for multi-fiber push on (MPO) and media transfer protocol (MTP) testing.

With a design that reduces setup time, cost, risk, and footprint, the OP940-CSW measures quickly and accurately without the use of mandrels or index matching gel. A 12-channel, dual wavelength, test takes <40 s. Its MPO/MTP front panel interface does not require expensive fanout cables.

By making use of a wide dynamic range between -10 to -80 dB for RL measurements, the OP940-CSW is able to adjust for attenuation in the reference setup, which results in accurate results.
