Multicore Fiber FanoutsOptoscribe Ltd. has added an ultralow-crosstalk option to its 3D Optofan series of multicore fiber fanouts.

Stray light is minimized by controlling the 3D waveguide layout inside the component, resulting in reduced crosstalk within the fanout of less than –75 dB.

The fanouts enable the transmission of high data rates over short- and long-haul distances, and offer broad flat spectral response with high throughput and minimal insertion losses.

Customized layout are available over a variety of multicore fibers.
