Multidiscussion System

THORNWOOD, N.Y., March 23, 2010 – Carl Zeiss MicroImaging Inc. has launched a multidiscussion system for Axio Scope and Axio Imager light microscopes, enabling up to 21 individuals to view the same microscope image field simultaneously with an identical image orientation, regardless of the configuration of the system.
The 23-mm field of view provides users with an overview of the large specimen section. The co-observation system is suitable for training and consulting and for assessing difficult specimens in medical diagnostics. It is useful for histologically stained transmitted-light tissue sections or blood smears.
The number of workstations can be increased and adapted to existing conditions at the site. Every configuration can be implemented with standard stages, and there is no required expense for special stages.
Additionally, the workstations can be configured in a straight line or in as many right angles as needed. Each tube is supported by its own column in its center of gravity, enhancing stability.
