Toptica Photonics iChrome SLEToptica Photonics Inc. has announced the iChrome SLE multilaser engine, a field-upgradeable, eight-color laser engine for multicolor microscopy and other biophotonic applications.

The iChrome SLE offers up to eight wavelengths from 405 to 640 nm and up to 70 mW per color. Each laser source is packaged in an individual, field-exchangeable cartridge. An integrated fiber switch enables fast switching of all colors between two single-mode/polariziation-maintaining fibers in less than 10 ms.

The microprocessor-controlled system enables flexible OEM integration into systems such as microscopes, flow cytometers or other demanding cell biology applications.
