Multimode Laser Diode

Eagleyard Photonics GmbH has announced a multimode laser diode with 20 W peak power at 808 nm.

The device’s high pulse energy and fast rise time are designed for high-resolution sensing applications in extreme harsh environments. Wavelengths between 650 and 1120 nm are offered with output power ranges between 1 and 18 W in continuous wave mode, and 1 to 100 W in pulse mode. A 10-μs pulse width at a 25-kHz repetition rate is featured from −40 to 80 °C.

The diode is available in a hermetically sealed, 9-mm TO-housing. Applications include space and defense, materials processing, medical applications, lidar and solid-state laser pumping.
