Hiden Analytical has extended its HPR-20 series gas analyzers with the addition of an expanded range of gas stream selectors. Standard selector options offer a choice of eight, 20, 40 and 80 channels for application to multiple gas stream control and monitoring in the pressure regime from 10 mbar to 10 bar.

Stream selection is fast with switching times of <1 s. The 20/40/80-way series devices are based on the Proteus rotary valve with a precision microstepping drive, with nonselected streams flowing continuously to a common exhaust. The solenoid-operated eight-way selector valves may also be configured with the nonselected streams static when gas conservation is a priority. Anticorrosion and anticondensing versions are available as options.

The multistream gas selectors are fully integrated with the company’s HPR-20 mass spectrometer system and are also available stand-alone for connection to the user’s gas monitors. If preferred, the selector can be mounted up to 2 m from the HPR-20 system without loss of switching response time.
