Multiwavelength Laser Diode Modules
AKELA Laser CorporationRequest Info
Akela Laser Corp. has released its multiwavelength laser diode modules in wavelengths from 650 to 1950 nm. They operate at up to five wavelengths with an aiming beam from a single fiber. The footprint is designed around standard high-power thermoelectric coolers for convenient integration, and it incorporates an optional blast shield, fiber sensor/interlock, and the choice of a red or green aiming beam.
They are suitable for the OEM and R&D sectors. With powers up to 25 W in the 1.2- to 1.95-μm range, they enable medical and industrial customers to treat multiple conditions or combine wavelengths to make their outcomes more effective. This is helpful because many device manufacturers are moving to a platform or multiapplication approach with their laser systems.
The modules feature individually addressable emitters and offer power monitors for each wavelength; they are available with 100-, 200- and 400-μm 0.22-numerical-aperture fibers. The company can modify them to meet specific requirements.
