The MicronViewer 7290A from Electrophysics Corp. has been updated to include features such as calibrated three-position gain adjustment and internal shading correction. The video camera has also been reduced in size to 4 3 3 3 9 in., and incorporates a high-resolution vidicon tube-based detector. A built-in filter slide permits optical fibers to be inserted between the lens mount and the detector. The spectral response and sensitivity is from 400 nm down to 2 µm; an extended wavelength version is sensitive to 2.2 µm.
