NEW CELESTA quattro Light EngineThe CELESTA quattro Light Engine delivers on brightness, stability, and longevity. It’s designed to provide the high performance solid-state laser lighting with which our CELESTA is synonymous yet it has been refined from seven to four outputs for enhanced value. Four independent lasers provide ~1000 mW each, from the distal end of a 1.5 mm diameter optical fiber. The laser outputs are refined by bandpass filters and merged into a common optical train directed to the light output port on the illuminator’s front panel. The light output adapter facilitates easy connection to microscopes and other bioanalytical instruments through an SMA-terminated optical fiber.

The CELESTA quattro controls are implemented in several image acquisition software packages. TTL triggers support applications requiring fast ( <100 microseconds ) switching. The lasers are allied with sophisticated control and monitoring systems to deliver the performance needed for spinning disk confocal microscopy, optogenetics, MERFISH, DNA-PAINT, and other advanced imaging applications. Power stability is sustained by active stabilization providing superior short and long term reproducibility, overall data quality, and quantitation.
