The BioSpectrum imaging system from UVP is configured for use
in multiple imaging applications. Combined with the BioLite multispectral light
source, it provides a powerful system to excite and illuminate wavelengths for applications
including multiplex near-IR imaging of protein blots. The system supplies a full
range of wavelengths for excitation and enables rapid, high-resolution image capture
through the use of a cooled CCD camera with low-light-sensitivity lenses for quick
detection of a full range of visible and near-IR fluorescent dyes. One-touch, preset
or user-defined controls provide accurate, repeatable imaging and analysis for chemiluminescence,
bioluminescence, fluorescence and colorimetric imaging. Other applications include
2-D gels and green fluorescent protein.
