PI. Nanopositioning Stages.The B-421 BIX series from PI features nanopositioning stages for high-precision positioning systems. BIX series products use two miniature piezo stacks, and the bi-phase inertia drive technology provides greater drive and holding forces, longer lifetime, and higher velocity compared to traditional stick-slip motors. The stages are built with integrated linear encoders and dual-phase piezo inertia motors, with a minimum incremental motion of 10 nm. The BIX stage design supports multi-axis configurations and offers travel ranges up to 32 mm. These stages are for high-precision motion applications including metrology, superresolution microscopy, spectroscopy, interferometry, micro-assembly, semiconductor technology, and bio-nanotechnology.
