PiezoSystem.jpgPiezosystem jena GmbH showcases the Mipos 500 UD piezoelectric micro-objective focusing system, which enables users to work in the upside-down position on inverted microscopes. Free of mechanical play, the Z-axis lens positioning system provides a 500-μm adjustment range and nanometer resolution. The system is mounted with a clamping screw onto a Flex-Adapter thread-ring that is screwed into the microscope, enabling it to be used on a variety of microscopes, independent of the threading size. Its integrated preload design results in very small angular deviation, high resonant frequency and a highly parallel larger range of motion. Integrated sensors ensure positioning without hysteresis or drift. The device is particularly suitable for applications in biology, medicine and laser technology.
