Aerotech Inc. has introduced the ANT-LX nanotranslation crossed-roller linear stage for improved speed, resolution and repeatability. The outgrowth of the company’s ANT direct-drive stages, the model features 5-g acceleration, 500-mm/s velocity, 2.5-nm closed-loop resolution, 40-MHz electronic circuitry, real-time axis calibration, enhanced load capacity and universal base mounting patterns. Noncontact noncogging technology and crossed-roller bearing elements enable reliable repetition of small-increment moves. No-creep linear bearings provide in-position stability. The compact design is suitable for fiber alignment, optical delay element actuation and smooth motion scanning.
