UNTERHACHING, Germany, Feb. 1, 2018 — Neutral-Point-Clamped Power ModulesThe flowNPC 2 from Vincotech GmbH is a neutral-point-clamped (NPC) power module featuring insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) technology for three-phase solar, uninterruptible power and energy saver system applications.

Rated for 650 V at 200 A and 300 A, the modules are able to deliver switching frequencies up to 50 kHz even without silicon carbide technology. When silicon components are used, the best performance starts above 8 to 10 kHz. As cost comparisons show, the NPC modules offer 10 percent savings over mixed voltage modules rated for the same current.

The flowNPC 2 systems are packaged in the low-inductive, 13-mm housing and available with press-fit and solder pins without adding any non-recurring engineering costs.
