For White-Light Applications
DURHAM, N.C., May 7 -- Cree has introduced two new products in its LED line: the XT-290 LED and the XB-900 LED.
The XT-290, offered in a 527-nm version, has a typical radiant flux of 9 mW at 20 mA. It is also Cree's thinnest and brightest LED, with a typical forward voltage of 3.2V, and t consumes the least power of any Cree standard-size green LED chip.
The XB-900 527-nm version has a typical radiant flux of 30 mW at 350 mA, and the XB-900 505-nm version has a typical radiant flux of 45 mW at 350 mA. Key uses for these products are white-light applications using RGB technologies (where discrete red, green and blue LEDs are combined to create white light), traffic signals and signage. Production quantities are now available for both products.
