MIDDLETOWN, Conn., Dec. 9, 2020 — Non-Contact Displacement SensorsThe AMS line of non-contact displacement sensors from Kaman Precision Products Inc. are rugged, designed for environments from 500 to >22,500 psi.

The sensors enhance any condition monitoring system's ability to measure and monitor runout, speed, and changes in machine vibration profiles. They reduce risk while minimizing damage and unplanned downtime due to unanticipated failures in the field. An innovative design detects target position through non-magnetic, conductive, and non-conductive barriers, making leak-proof, penetrator-free equipment instrumentation installations possible and economical without special magnets.

With a root mean square resolution down to 1 µm, and a standard measuring range up to 7 mm, the sensors are IP-67-rated threaded, flanged, AS4320 pressure port compatible, with bolt head configurations and hermetic options available.
