CHESHAM, England, Jan. 19, 2016 — Resolve Optics Ltd. has expanded its range of fixed-focus nonbrowning lenses for close-up inspection tasks in high radiation environments. Designed to provide performance on 2/3-in. cameras, the 6-mm focal length Model 214 and 9-mm focal length Model 286 lenses deliver high image resolution and minimal geometric distortion from 400 to 750 nm.

The lenses are able to withstand radiation exposure of up to 100 kilograys (100,000,000 rads) and temperatures up to 55 °C without discoloration.

While most nonbrowning glass lenses are yellow, tinting CMOS-acquired images, the Model 313 25-mm focal length fixed-focus nonbrowning lens uses the least amount of yellow tint possible to ensure more natural images, while still retaining nonbrowning performance in environments subject to radiation.
