The nonlinear curved light guides from Global Light Technologies are edge-lit and LED-based to increase flexibility for complex light guide designs.

Available for integration into overhead lighting, wall sconces, automotives, white goods and consumer electronics, among others, the curved light guides can be implemented into a multitude of industries.

A thin-film embossing process allows the guides to be manufactured at a thickness of 0.25 mm or less, while a change in manufacturing permits extraction features on a curved surface. This allows thicker light guides to be injection molded while exhibiting curved emission surfaces.

Sizes range from 0.25 to 4 mm thick and can be created in sizes greater than 24 in. diagonally, depending on the application.
