IRVINE, Calif., March 1, 2010 – Newport Corp. has introduced the S-2000AN Stabilizer nonmagnetic vibration isolator that provides 1-Hz vertical resonant frequency and vertical isolation efficiency of 98% at 10 Hz and a load capacity of 2000 lb.

It is suitable for isolating optical tables or platforms that support large vacuum chambers and other heavy instruments used in materials research applications. Because of its aluminum and 316 stainless steel construction, it can be used in applications where all magnetic materials must be removed. In tests, the isolator induced only a 1.2-nanotesla change in measured magnetic field over a distance of 0 to 2 ft.

It features proprietary SafeLock mounting clips that secure it to the bottom of any of the company’s optical tables. Available in heights ranging from 406.4 to 711.2 mm, the vibration isolator is equipped with precision pneumatic re-leveling valves and float-height indicators.
