Nonpolarizing Beamsplitters

BARRINGTON, N.J., April 28, 2015 — Insensitive to the input beam's polarization state, new laser line nonpolarizing plate beamsplitters from Edmund Optics Inc. are suited for laser applications where polarization control is critical.
The beamsplitters feature high laser-damage thresholds of greater than 6 J/cm2 at 1064 nm at 10 ns. A coating with dielectric layers increases system performance. The 1025- to 1095-nm coating is designed for popular industry lasers, including Nd:YAG, Yb:KGW and Yb:YAG. Low group delay dispersion (GDD) coatings are offered for femtosecond laser applications, designed to maintain the input beam's pulse width. They offer λ/8 surface accuracy for minimal wavefront distortion.
Four 25.4-mm-diameter models are offered with design wavelengths of 355, 515 to 532, 770 to 830 and 1025 to 1095 nm. Manufactured using a fused silica substrate, the beamsplitters have a clear aperture >22.9. The RoHS-compliant beamsplitters meet MIL-C-675A standards for durability.
