VILNIUS, Lithuania, March 25, 2014 — Nonpolarizing plate beamsplitters from Altechna feature a high laser-induced damage threshold and no absorption loss.

Coated with only dielectric layers, the beamsplitters offer a damage threshold exceeding 6 J/cm², while separation of polarizations Rs to Rp is less than 5 percent. The devices are suitable for use with light of any polarized state, including unpolarized.

The optical devices are useful for lasers such as Yb:KGW, Yb:YAG, Nd:YAG, Yb:glass, Nd:glass and femtosecond. Model 4F45-50 and 4C45-50 do not influence pulse width, as coatings are GDD (group delay dispersion) compensated. They are available in custom sizes and configurations.
