NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 11, 2021 — BEYOLEX novel substrate film has been announced by Panasonic Corp., enabling the development of soft printed electronics.

The material is based on a proprietary, non-silicone thermoset polymer chemistry featuring softness, conformability, high-temperature resistance, and ultralow permanent deformation after stretching. The film is 100 μm in thickness, delivered on a high-temperature Polyethylene naphthalate carrier for mechanical stability during processing and a thin Polyethylene terephthalate coversheet for protection.

Applications include health and wellness, automotive, sensors, haptics, Internet of Things, gaming, augmented reality (AR), soft robotics, and aerospace.
