For selective wavelengths
Opto Diode Corp. has announced the third in a series of selective-wavelength photodiodes. The ODD-660W operates from 550 to 720 nm, with peak response at 660 nm, and features a spectral bandwidth of 80 nm. The hermetically sealed photodiode offers low dark current without the need for optical filters. Dark current is 50 pA, typical, and 400 pA maximum. Applications include fluorescence detection, color sensors, daylight sensors, light barriers and medical diagnostics.
The standard TO-46 can enables easy installation into existing or new systems. Storage and operating temperatures are from -30 to 85 °C, and lead soldering temperature is up to 260 °C.
Typical active area is 0.62 mm2, rise time is 40 ns, minimum reverse breakdown voltage is 1 V, and capacitance is 40 pF. Responsivity at 550 nm is 0.002 A/W and, at 660 nm, 0.42 A/W. Responsivity at 720 nm is 0.001 A/W.
