Optical displacement sensors
Sick Inc. has launched its OD Value family of optical displacement sensors, the latest addition to the company’s line of high-accuracy measurement solutions. They offer a variety of interface capabilities for quality control applications in the automotive, robotics, electronics and semiconductor markets.

SICK-OpticalDisplasementVal.jpgThe stand-alone sensors use CMOS technology that enables measurement of targets regardless of color or reflectivity, from bright shiny objects to dark remission objects. They have an easy-to-read bar graph display for fast installation and maintenance, and they are a good solution for OEMs who need to be cost competitive in their overall machine design, without sacrificing performance. The line is versatile due to the many sensing ranges and the choice of four output styles.
