Ibsen Photonics has unveiled the Rock VIS-NIR and XNIR (extended
NIR) line of modular, industrial-grade, robust OEM spectrometers for the 550- to
1050-nm and 1175- to 2185-nm wavelength ranges, respectively. The spectrometers
typically enable four times higher optical throughput than traditional devices because
of an f number of f/2.2 and proprietary fused-silica transmission gratings. The
athermal Rock VIS-NIR can be supplied with almost any detector type, allowing customers
flexibility in choosing a spectrometer configuration. The XNIR uses an InGaAs detector
to provide high sensitivity and a good signal-to-noise ratio. The VIS-NIR series
comprises the RST-200 for a large dynamic/absorbance range and the RST-300 for high
sensitivity. Both have a numerical aperture of 0.22.
