WESTBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 19, 2022 — OLED Pancake OpticsAll-plastic Pancake optics from Kopin Corp. are designed for its 1.3-in, 2.6 × 2.6K Lightning® organic LED microdisplay for virtual reality (VR) applications.

The P80 Pancake optics enable the design of compact, lightweight VR glasses that are comfortable to wear for extended hours with no need for adjustment, even for people who wear eyeglasses. The P80 Pancake optics provides a sharp, 77° field-of-view image with 23-mm eye relief and a 12-mm-diameter eye box. They provide magnified image quality in a thin form factor and a virtual image equivalent to a 180-in. diagonal display viewed from a 3-m distance.
