OPTICAL CRYSTALS

A line of high-purity optical crystals is available from Aremco Products. Useful for a wide range of research applications, the crystals are based on lanthanum aluminate, magnesium oxide, rutile, sapphire, spinel, strontium titanate, semiconductor-grade silicon and cubic zirconia. Applications in physics include EMR and NMR measurements and dislocation density studies; in optics they are useful for UV- and IR-transmitting windows, prisms and lenses.
