Newport Corp. has enhanced its colored glass, absorptive neutral density (ND), optical crown glass metallic ND and UV fused-silica metallic ND filter lines. Colored glass filters, to which 29 have been added, transmit light within a specified color range for isolation purposes and are available in 25.4-mm-diameter and in 50.8-mm-sq sizes. The eight new absorptive ND filters double the number of optical densities offered. Joining the 1-in.-diameter round optical crown glass metallic ND family are 2-in.-sq versions. Five optical densities have been added to the UV fused-silica metallic ND line, available individually or in sets of eight.
