PicardIndustries.jpgA motorized USB optical flipper system has been released by Picard Industries for 90° flipping of any standard 25-mm optic, including filters, mirrors and lenses, into a beam path. It is supplied with a Windows-based user interface and LabView drivers for operating on a PC under Windows XP or Vista. The self-powered method of beam path control that it provides is hot-pluggable and autodetectable. Red/green status indicators on the panel show whether the flipper is connected properly to the hub and whether it is extended or retracted.
