Breault Research Organization Inc. has released version 6.6 of its Advanced Systems Analysis Program (ASAP) for testing three-dimensional optical systems. ASAP 6.6 contains more than 30 new features, including anisotropic scatter, 3-D perspective viewing and an expanded bulb library, and 45 tests have been added to the ELTM module. This version automatically translates surface-based entities and has improved accuracy of degree-reduced surfaces while keeping the same ray trace speed, and the maximum number of allowed objects, entities and total geometry storage are substantially higher, according to the company.
