X Line objectives from Olympus simultaneously boost numerical aperture, flatness, and chromatic correction, providing high image quality.
A certain polishing technique produces ultra-thin lenses that overcome the traditional trade-off between numerical aperture, flatness, and chromatic correction – enabling all three parameters to be significantly improved. The lenses produce a numerical aperture up to 1.45.
The X Line objectives are designed for clinical and research applications, as well as UPLAPO-HR and microsocopy use. The devices deliver significant improvements to research and clinical applications without the need to change or upgrade imaging systems.
