Off-Axis Paraboloid Mirrors
Optical Surfaces Ltd.Request Info
Off-axis paraboloid mirrors by Optical Surfaces Ltd. direct and focus incident collimated light at a specific angle for unrestricted access to the focal point.
The mirrors are suitable for applications such as high-power laser focusing, collimating reference wavefronts, focusing upon astronomical objects, beam expansion, and aligning bore sights for missile guidance systems.
The standard off-axis paraboloid mirrors range from 60 to 600 mm in diameter and offer surface accuracy to λ/20, peak to valley, depending upon off-axis angles. The natural limit to the off-axis angle, around 25° to 30°, can be achieved, along with surface microroughness of less than 1 nm. Various coatings are available for standard and custom components, ranging from metallic, with or without a protective overcoat, to multilayer dielectrics and ultrahard coatings.
