Wireless handheld infrared thermometer
STAMFORD, Conn., June 22, 2009 – For use in the chemical and automotive industries, Omega Engineering Inc. has introduced the Omegascope OS530LE-W9 series handheld infrared thermometers. Featuring built-in wireless measurement and adjustable emissivity, the portable and rugged instruments are suitable for use in noncontact temperature measurement applications. The built-in patented laser sighting is switchable between laser dot and circle patterns, with the laser beam flashing or continuous. Omega_Omegascope.jpg

Temperatures can be measured from -23 to 871 °C. The instruments offer different optical fields of view, from close focus to long range. They include a backlit LCD, high and low audible and visual alarms, analog output, a PC interface, optional built-in distance measurement, thermocouple input and data storage. The LCD provides dual digital display of current as well as maximum, minimum, differential and average temperatures in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit simultaneously.

Optional accessories include a USB wireless receiver, a tripod mount, thermocouple surface probes and a universal 9-V adapter. The RS-232 output models include free data logging software.
