Optic Design SoftwareOpticStudio 19.8 software from Zemax Inc. includes high-yield optimization, a capability that enables engineers to select best as-built performance for higher manufacturing yields at a reduced cost.

The optimization method uses the angles of incidence as a proxy for the actual tolerances, speeding up the numerical optimization. By optimizing simultaneously on these ray angles and the image quality, the optimization process produces designs with high real-world performance and delivers designs that are less sensitive to manufacturing or alignment errors.

With its comprehensive set of analysis and simulation tools, OpticStudio is used to design optical systems across a wide variety of industries, from aerospace and astronomy, to automotive, biomedical research, consumer electronics, machine vision, and more.
