Optical Energy GraderThe GeoImageoptical analysis system from CRAIC Technologies Inc. grades the energy of vitrinite and other macerals commonly found in coal, kerogen, and source rock.

The GeoImage economically automates millions of light measurement points to determine the amount of vitrinite in the sample. Optical light measurement can also be used to test the suitability of coal blends for the manufacture of steel. The GeoImage system is also sensitive enough to measure the fluorescence from these materials as well as collecting full color images.

The system is offered as either a manual or automated system, with storable reports in several easily accessible formats.
