Menlo Systems GmbH introduces the FC1500-ULNnova optical frequency comb synthesizer model.
With a redesigned comb laser oscillator based on the figure 9® mode-locking technology, the enhanced design of the nova oscillator results in improved robustness against acoustical distortion and thermal drift. Its novel design features a reduced free running linewidth of 15 kHz. The FC1500-ULNnova supports a frequency stability on the 10-19 level within a 1-s averaging time. It also transfers the spectral purity of a stable reference to the entire wavelength range of 500 to 2000 nm, enabling users to compare different optical frequency references, stabilize all continuous-wave lasers to one absolute frequency reference, and employ it as a clockwork for optical clocks.
