OptiPro Systems LLC has announced the PRO 160 series of platforms for precision optical grinding, polishing and centering.

The platforms enable rapid prototyping to high-volume production of precision spheres and aspheres up to 160 mm in diameter with minimized floor space requirements.

The PRO 160 GTS is designed for computer numerical control optical generating, with onboard polishing-tool correction and truing, as well as an easy-to-clean stainless steel enclosure conducive to fast slurry changeover.

The PRO 160A incorporates UltraForm and UltraSmooth finishing processes in one machine for the efficient production of aspheres to meet optical requirements with minimized midspatial frequencies. The PRO 160P is designed for high-speed spherical polishing.

All PRO 160 machines feature a stiff granite base for vibration dampening and optimal part quality.
