GRAZ, Austria, June 24, 2015 — NextSense Calipri HotNextSense GmbH has announced the Calipri Hot, a mobile optical measurement device for hot, rolled materials.

The device can measure the profiles of rolled material to a tenth of a millimeter anywhere in a rolling mill, making it quick and easy to configure optimum rolling stand setup. Using laser light, the device remotely scans materials reaching temperatures greater than 1000 °C.

The Calipri Hot is contact free and provides tilt correction.
