BAD KREUZNACH, Germany, July 9, 2013 — The V-CAD rapid, a 2-D optical measuring device from Dr. Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik GmbH, can be positioned freely in the coverage field, delivering measurements in seconds.

The device automatically recognizes ruled geometries without preselection and does not require manual workpiece alignment in the coverage field. It includes a 5-MP CCD black-and-white camera and a four-step motorized zoom lens, providing four fields of view.

Its multitouch panel PC is equipped with Windows 7, LAN and WLAN network ports, and telecentric LED-transmitted light illumination. The device’s granite/aluminium sandwich design includes an LED ringlight for incident illumination.
