SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 6, 2023 — The COLORZ® 800 line of 800-Gbps ZR/ZR+ coherent pluggable optical modules from Marvell Technology connect data centers and other infrastructures over optical networks.

The data center interconnects (DCI) incorporate the Orion 800-Gbps coherent digital signal processing and silicon photonics platform. They offer up to 800 Gbps of bandwidth for DCI links up to 500 km and can be enabled for connections up to 1200 km operating at 400/600 Gbps. COLORZ 800 aims to reduce the capital cost of DCIs and lower operating expenses while increasing the speed and reducing cost and power per bit. It is designed to accommodate the increasing bandwidth demands of artificial intelligence and cloud services.
