Meller Optics Inc.’s Gugolz optical polishing pitch is available in five hardness grades for blocking, lapping and polishing of hard to soft optics.

Made from all-natural wood resin to help prevent contamination of the polishing media and optics, the pitch carries abrasives through slicing, melting and pouring onto a lap.

With melting points from 52 to 87 ºC, the pitch is suitable for carrying aluminum and cerium oxide, and diamond slurries without having to screen, filter or mix additives. All hardness grades are compatible and consistent, enabling users to achieve their own grade of hardness.
