Optical Sampling SystemThe OSE Optical Sampling System from Menlo Systems GmbH is a complete solution offering the full flexibility of an asynchronous optical sampling system in a 19-in. rack housing.

The system contains two erbium femtosecond fiber lasers with an oscillator frequency that is synchronized with high-accuracy phase locking electronics. The frequency offset is tuned electronically in order to set the temporal delay between the femtosecond pulses of the two laser modules, allowing for high-speed scanning over many nanoseconds of time delay without mechanical components.

Due to its modular design, the OSE is a versatile, compact laser system with the possibility of extension with external modules for higher output power, customized spectrum, or pulse length.
