MAYNARD, Mass., March 23, 2015 — Acacia Communications Inc. has announced a flex-rate coherent 400G transceiver module.

The AC-400 is designed for long-haul, metro and data center interconnect networks.

Powered by a dual-core application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), it supports two optical channels and up to 400 Gb/s capacity, including a clear-channel single 400-Gb/s traffic flow, optimized for Internet protocol (IP) packet transport.

Built-in framing functionality supports 100G and 400G optical transport network (OTN) and Ethernet clients.
