Optical Tweezers System
Bruker Nano GmbH, JPK BioAFMRequest Info
JPK Instruments has launched the NanoTracker 2 optical tweezers system for quantitative measurements.
Biologists and chemists need a ready-to-use system with the familiarity of a platform of a standard optical microscope and a fully supported software system that delivers a simple-to-use experimental optical tool bench.
The system is for use by people who work in biophysics, biochemistry, polymer science, biology, single-molecule mechanics groups, cell sorting and manipulation. They work with small particles interacting with their environment and measure their forces. The optical tweezers platform provides force and interaction measurement in parallel with optical microscopy using complementary spectroscopic techniques.
The system minimizes user interactions on a platform that has been built with stability and low noise to improve detection. New open routines allow users to design their own enhanced measurements. Force clamp and signal multiplexing and demultiplexing capabilities are provided via acousto-optic deflectors that spatially control the optical beams.
Applications include single-molecule experiments such as DNA stretching and cell/particle experiments.
