Optical Wavelength MeterThe 238 Series Optical Wavelength Meter from Bristol Instruments Inc. features a broad operational range from 700 to 1650 nm.

The device is designed for the precise wavelength characterization of tunable transmitter lasers, distributed feedback lasers, and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) used in a wide variety of applications including fiber optic communications, data storage, and 3D sensing. Model 238A provides wavelength accuracy of ± 0.3 pm, while Model 238B provides accuracy of ± 1.0 pm. Both feature continuous calibration with a built-in laser wavelength standard to provide confidence in test results. A rugged optomechanical design ensures long-term reliable operation.
