The Tech Spec Mechanics family from Edmund Optics Inc. includes a kinematic series of optical mounts and mounting table platforms. The mounts feature ±5° of tip/tilt and 100-tracks-per-inch fine-adjustment socket-head cap screws. They are available with two or three adjustment screws — the three-screw models allow additional adjustment in the optical axis. Stainless-steel adjustment mechanisms ensure repeatability, and nylon contact rods and screws protect the optics. Optical holders are available for the most common sizes of optical components. C- and T-thread versions are compatible with the company’s mount components, which offer more than 30 additional mount size options. Horizontal mounting adapters also are available.
