OceanOptics.jpgOcean Optics Inc.’s Mikropack office has introduced the MPM-2000 fiber optic multiplexer for multipoint sampling. It is suitable for settings where multiple locations must be measured with multiple probes, all with one spectrometer channel and/or light source. It provides measurements with a repeatability of 99% and optical throughput of >6%. A one-input/output version for connecting a light source or a spectrometer to 16 channels and a two-input/output version for connecting both a light source and a spectrometer to eight channels each are available. Both versions are offered in 250- to 800-nm and 350- to 2000-nm models. The light is distributed through the output port in sequential order, with switching times of less than 150 ms between channels.
