SpectrumDetector.jpgLarge-aperture, multireflection optical trap detectors are available from Spectrum Detector Inc. Based on National Institute of Standards and Technology traceable calibration-transfer standards, the silicon and germanium devices have a typical spectral response of 0.3 to 0.9 μm and 0.6 to 1.55 μm, respectively. They are configured for measuring both collimated and divergent sources such as lasers and fibers. They feature 10 × 10-mm sensors, a numerical aperture of >0.20, measurement uncertainty of <2 percent, and a spherical mirror, and they collect greater than 98 percent of the light or laser input. Their enclosure includes a standard 1.035-40 threaded front bezel for interchangeable fiber optic connectors.
